Three documents to begin with

The annual report describes the business and its risks. Quarterly results show what changed. Earnings-call materials add management's explanation, which still needs to be checked against the numbers.

Growth needs context

Look at margins, cash flow, capital spending and changes in share count alongside revenue. A company can grow sales while generating less value for each shareholder.

From the UAE

For someone measuring savings or future spending in another currency, the currency of the investment matters too. Product access, fees and individual tax questions should be checked separately.
